Flying Rhino Cycling Club 2008 Cyclocross Team
Team Captain - Anne Schwartz

The Flying Rhino's have a huge cross team with twenty to thirty racers competing on all levels from beginner to elite. New team members are always welcome. Cross is a ton of fun, so join us for a dirt road ride or practice and you might get hooked.
We train as a team starting in April when the Thursday night gravel road ride starts. The ride leaves from Kinetics at 6:00 p.m. Both cyclocross and mountain bikes are welcome. In the spring, the ride is slow to medium pace, 15 to 17 m.p.h. and covers 35 miles. The ride is a no drop ride until mid June, so come out and learn the route. Starting in mid June the ride starts with a 20 minute warm up and then the ride becomes a drop ride. Park at Depot park and ride up to the shop.
Also starting in April, we will do some road stuff or cross bikes on dirt roads on Sundays. Watch the Yahoo Group for postings. Starting in August we switch to cross specific workouts at Waterford Hills Raceway from road workouts. The workouts include mini races, practice mounting and dismounting and bike handling skills. It’s also a great workout.
Any questions feel free to e-mail me at cyclo_team_manager@flyingrhinocc.com.
May the cross be with you cyclo that is,
Anne Schwartz
